Some Ideas For You

So I've managed to make a few Christmas cards this week even though I've not been well. I had planned to do a lot more this week seeing as it's my annual birthday week off but alas not. Nevermind it was still good to rest and like I said I did manage to get a few projects done which is always nice.

The plan with these cards was to play around with colouring techniques like using Promarkers, water colouring with distress inks and water colouring using other products I've already got on hand so I've attached some pics for you to see. Don't be afraid to play around with colour or techniques, you'll be surprised what you create.

So the question is - Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

I used my Promarkers (alcohol markers) to colour the image, as you can see I'm not so good with the shading but I like to play around with it.

Hope you're having a lovely start to your weekend, I know I am!  I've started clearing out the rubbish from my craft room and man does it feel great to de-clutter! I've 4 bin liners full already - crazy huh?  I think so!

Just a quick post today but wanted to share something else with you...we have SNOW! woohoo!  I absolutely love it when it snows just don't like the disruption in getting to places but still it's so beautiful!  So here's a couple pictures from my back garden. Almost looks twilight-like.

New Year, New You

Hi guys

Well I know it's already day 6 of the new year and one of my resolutions was to keep my blog updated and keep you posted on what's going on in my little world, but I'd thought I'd finally make a start.

It's taken me a few days to get into the new year but we've now taken down the Christmas deco's and the house feels empty and looks so much bigger, I've also started on my lose weight regime.  It's going well so far and I'm not really dieting per say but I'm eating smaller portions and watching what I'm eating (and keeping a food/drink diary).  I've also been doing Davina McCalls dvd The Power of 3 and it's really good, well for me it's really good and she makes me giggle so it keeps it fun.

I've also slowly started going through the things that I just don't need/want and so am having a clear out of the 'junk' in my house.  Things that are no longer needed got to go.  That feels really good to do too (as…
